Steve Irwin stuff on eBay through the roof!

Not surprisingly, sellers on eBay found a way to make a buck from another celebrity death. Would you believe that almost 1900 Steve Irwin related items sold on eBay the day he died, up from 300 on Sunday and just a handful the day before.

Obviously word got out on Sunday in the U.S. and people started buyin'. In fact over the last 3 months about 230 Croc Hunter items have sold through Sept. 2, and on Sept. 3 & 4, there were 2165 sold. Average selling price jumped almost two times to $32 per item by Tuesday.

Right now, as of Friday night, over 2300 items available on eBay.com in the U.S.

Same thing happened when Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt died and when Ronald Reagan died too. But on a lighter note, when Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers scored 81 points, second most in the NBA behind Wilt Chamberlain's legendary 100-point game, the sale of his items went from 200 on Saturday, January 21 to over 500 on Sunday, Jan. 22 and even more the next day.
